Features

FreeInstantQRCode is a complete, browser-based QR toolkit. Every generator and tool runs entirely client-side, so the URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details, and images you enter are encoded and decoded on your machine — nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is stored, and nothing is retained after you leave the page.

Twelve dedicated generators

URL, Wi-Fi, vCard, email, SMS, phone, location, text, social, menu, calendar, and image/video — each with its own explanation, examples, and live tool.

Five free QR tools

Scanner, decoder, tester, quality checker, and size calculator — all in your browser, with no uploads.

PNG, SVG & PDF downloads

Download codes for screens, large-format printing, or print shops. SVG scales without pixelating.

Adjustable size & error correction

Choose the right size and error-correction level for clean environments or rough handling.

Original practical guides

Fifteen guides across basics, tutorials, printing, business, and security — written to be useful, not to hit a word count.

Privacy by default

Your QR content stays in your browser whenever a local tool can do the job. No sign-up, no tracking.

How it works

Creating a QR code takes under a minute. Choose the right generator for your content, enter your data, pick a size and error-correction level, preview the code, and download it as PNG, SVG, or PDF. Then test the finished code with two or three different phones before you print or publish it.

1. Choose a type

Pick the generator that matches your content — URL, Wi-Fi, vCard, email, SMS, phone, location, text, social, menu, calendar, or image/video.

2. Enter your data

For a URL this is a web address; for Wi-Fi it is the network name and password; for a vCard it is your contact details.

3. Pick size & error correction

256px is fine for screens; use 512px or larger for print, or download as SVG. Medium correction is a good default; use High for anything printed or handled roughly.

4. Download & test

Download as PNG (screens), SVG (large print), or PDF (print shops). Always test with several real devices before printing.

Our mission

Our mission is to make QR codes simple, private, and genuinely useful for everyone. We believe a practical tool should explain what it does, respect the information people enter, and help users get from an idea to a working code without unnecessary friction.

Our values

Privacy by default

Your QR content stays in your browser whenever a local tool can do the job.

Useful by design

Clear instructions and practical examples matter as much as the generator itself.

Honest tools

We explain limitations plainly, so you can choose the right QR format with confidence.

Made to be shared

Helpful resources should be easy to understand, accessible, and available at no cost.

Your data stays on your device

Every generator and tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. The URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details, and images you enter are encoded and decoded on your machine — nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is stored, and nothing is retained after you leave the page.

Frequently asked questions

What is a QR code and how does it work?

A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode capable of storing large amounts of data. Smartphones use their cameras to read the arrangement of black and white squares, instantly translating them into URLs, text, or contact information.

Are QR codes secure?

The codes themselves are just data carriers and are inherently safe. However, the destination they link to might not be. Always verify the URL preview on your device before opening a link from an untrusted source.

Can I track QR code scans?

If you use a dynamic QR code connected to an analytics platform, yes. You can track metrics like scan count, location, time, and device type. Static QR codes cannot natively track this data without specialized destination URLs.

How do I create a QR code?

Use our generator. Select your data type (like URL), enter your information, customize the design if desired, and click download. It takes less than 10 seconds.

Can QR codes expire?

Static QR codes never expire because the data is hardcoded into the pattern. They will work forever. However, if the destination URL breaks or goes offline, the code will lead to a dead link.
